Being in the technology field, I've encountered this a lot. The best practice is to have extremely small talk with them and try to find out what their interests are. Then, I build on that and develop a relationship based on our common interests. One thing that I've noticed is that pushing to hard or bringing up the fact that they're socially inept will actually push them away. Go at their pace and they'll open up more as they get more comfortable with you.

As speaking to Jovanni ,for the 2ND time ,! 1st time of incident i told my coach Carla of approximately 3 weeks ago,of F C grabbing Jovanni by the ass,last night ,as i was talking to him again ,F grabbed Jovanni by the ass ,and this time Jovanni told him to keep his hands to him self,(its only gonna get worse) I speak to Alex and Jovanni every night before they go to bed to make sure they go to bed on time ,and not go to bed w/issues that could have been resolved that might put them in trouble w/powers that be !,we meet most morning an develop a game plan that follows what the CFH policies dictate.Alex seems to me to be not ready for I.U. life cause of his inability to go ten minutes w/out talking of stress issues/his girlfriend that he states he his in love with.I told him he will not be able to do his homework,if he is totally engulfed by what she doing,where she at ,what she thinking,etc,etc,etc,I was supposed to meet the both for coffee downtown ,this Sunday morn,,i wanted to tell tell J ovanni to start leaving a paper trail of him telling Fred to stop unwanted advances,so he will not let his anger cause him to get timed out an hit something other than Fred ,once again this is a person whom is bigger than ,,an i repeat our promise to one another we would not engage in gay activities unless its w/one another,and we will help one another w/ females an the attraction issues,i am sticking to mine,far as I know Jovanni is sticking to his (chasing females ,but not making it the number one priority,I let him talk to his father again Saturday,an he reiterated get your GED,Get your Hustle on to get money(his words),and do not make no baby,renew your drivers license,you cannot have Mercedes Benz if you do not have insurance an plates,,this is yet my Lil brother or Homie as his father calls it,an i would rather not confront Fred about my friend but its not beyond my resolve,,Fred leaves a lot of thing to get on him about (not bathing,not changing clothes,etc,etc,etc,)I just cannot stand by an let Fred do as we say in the hood (Bogart,I have planned already to catch him in men's room to confront and ask him to back down ,i will be diplomatic as he allows me too !,Peace,
